Jamaican Jerk Paste
A spicy blend of peppers, herbs and pimento seed. A perfect marinade for grilled food.

Ingredients
  • 1 scotch bonnet pepper roughly chopped (use more if you want it spicier)
  • 2 tbsp green onion
  • 2 tbsp ground allspice/pimento seeds
  • 4 cloves garlic roughly chopped
  • 1 large sweet onion roughly chopped
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 2 tsp ginger diced
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • Zest and juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar

Instructions
  1. Combine all ingredients in a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth. Store in an air tight container in your refrigerator.
